Rob Zombie is back in the basement and raising hell with his stinger held high.
To further support the shock rocker’s recent The Great Satan album, he and his band have delivered a raging performance video behind one of the record’s most furious outings — an all-venom thrasher dubbed “The Black Scorpion.”
As with other recent Great Satan videos, Zombie and his band — bassist Blasko, guitarist Riggs and drummer Ginger Fish — have delivered a bare-knuckled, back-to-basics performance clip that highlights the speed-forward brawn of the piece.
In our recent cover story with Zombie, we’d initially described the ass-beater as “a haunted-house thrash attack, replete with gothic organs and relentlessly speedy beats,” and we’re still sticking by that. Zombie storms around the basement while shouting of “the sound of hell” that hits his mind.

As previously reported, Zombie will be co-headlining the “Freaks on Parade” tour with Marilyn Manson this summer. The trip, which also features openers the HU and Orgy, begins August 20th at West Palm Beach, Florida’s iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre.
