Last weekend, Metallica threw their fourth Helping Hands Concert & Auction at L.A.’s YouTube Theater, but if you happened to miss out on the charity show, the thrashers have now uploaded highlights onto YouTube.
Metallica started streaming the concert today (December 19th), with an official YouTube vid collecting pre-show black carpet interviews conducted by Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, speeches at the top of the show from Metallica and gala host Jimmy Kimmel, and the band’s electric and acoustic performances.
As previously noted, ‘Tallica hit a unique cover of Bachman–Turner Overdrive’s “Away From Home” during the acoustic portion of their performance. Later, the electrified segment had Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament hopping on stage to help out with “Hit the Lights.”
The rest of the night also features appearances from former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, guitar icon Joe Satriani, drum pro Kenny Aronoff, SistaStrings and more.

100 percent of the proceeds raised at the December 14th concert will go to the band’s All Within My Hands foundation.
