Kerry King rose for the occasion at WrestleMania over the weekend, with the Slayer guitarist having joined metal-loving grappler Damian Priest at the event to riff through the latter’s “Rise for the Night” WWE entrance theme in person.
King made his ‘Mania debut last night (April 20th) at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, making his way down the ramp alongside Priest as the wrestler prepared to go head-to-head with Drew McIntyre. Priest and King were supported by some pyro, while King chunked through “Rise for the Night” on his Dean signature guitar. The metal icon also wore one of his own band shirts.
While Priest ultimately lost his battle to McIntyre, he nevertheless made an epic entrance alongside a shredder of the highest order. You can see their tag-team entrance, in which the WrestleMania broadcast announcers goose up King’s mighty resume, up above.
As previously reported, Priest’s had unveiled his metallic and detuned ring music last spring, while King hopped on an alternate version of the track late last year. The Slayer-ized version of the theme officially hit streamers this past January. The pro wrestler is also set to host Slayer’s only 2025 East Coast show, at Hershey, Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, September 20th, with Knocked Loose, Suicidal Tendencies, Cavalera (exclusively playing Sepultura’s Chaos A.D.) and more.
