Filmed in the band’s adopted home of Nashville, Tennessee, the video locks into the chaos and catharsis that define their sound — this time through the cracked lens of visionary filmmaker Erren Franklin.
The video tracks frontman Johnny Stevens as he spirals through a grim emotional descent, paralleled with frenetic live-show energy, all captured entirely on Super 8 with zero digital effects or post-production manipulation. The result is equal parts raw nerve and hallucinogenic fever dream.
Stevens commented: “This past winter we were introduced to Erren Franklin who shares our passion for the analog world. We spent a couple days in the freezing cold filming live-human stop-motion shots on a very fucking old camera and Erren spent as much time as was needed, unrushed, hand-editing an art piece that matches the rhythm and tone of our song, ‘Run for Your Death.’ We spent equally as much time sitting with it and chiming in ‘Hey, what if at 1:58 we saw xyz.’
