Wildcard singer Frank Carter took a breather from his Rattlesnakes last night (August 13th) to front legendary punk group Sex Pistols at a charity event for U.K. venue Bush Hall.
Billed as “Frank Carter and Sex Pistols do Never Mind the Bollocks,” the performance was part of a three-night stand during which Carter is joining original Pistols’ Steve Jones (guitar), Glen Matlock (bass) and Paul Cook (drums) — with Carter, of course, filling in for OG vocalist Johnny Rotten.
The concert was held to raise funds for Bush Hall, with proceeds set to go towards preserving the independent venue, a former Edwardian dance hall that transformed into a rock club. Carter told the crowd ahead of “Pretty Vacant” that their three sold-out performances “managed to save this beautiful fucking venue.”
As promised, the majority of rest of the set also pulled from the band’s iconic Never Mind the Bollocks album, with Carter sneering along to classics including “Bodies,” “Holidays in the Sun,” “Anarchy in the U.K.” and more. Keeping things contemporary, “God Save the Queen” was remodeled as “God Save the King,” for Charles’ sake, and likewise featured a vocal guest spot from English artist Yungblud.
For his part, Carter seemed stoked to dig into a bit of “Sexology” during a cover of the Stooges’ “No Fun,” and as he’s wont to do, the singer stage-dove and crowdsurfed his way through a bunch of songs, too.

Carter pulls repeat performances with the Pistols at Bush Hall for the next two nights, while the updated lineup is also set to perform at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on September 26th.
