Following up on the recent unveiling of their collaborative “Hand That Feeds” single, Halsey and Amy Lee gave their collaborative electro-pop track its live debut in Los Angeles, California last night (May 14th).
The tag-team performance took place at the Hollywood Bowl, where Halsey was staging a show as part of her ongoing “For My Last Trick” tour (Evanescence and the Warning likewise opened the show). One of the night’s most magical moments found Evanescence’s frontwoman materializing on-stage after the first verse to join Halsey for “Hand That Feeds”. The pair then entwined for a distorted and more rock drum-centered live version of the tune.
The performance also featured some lyrically-referential pyro (“Watch me walk through the flames”), while Halsey dropped to her knees by the end of the song to bow at the feet of her guest.
“Give it up for Amy fucking Lee,” Halsey screamed after the track, hugging it out with the Evanescence singer before adding, “What the fuck…I can’t even believe this night is happening.”

As previously reported, Halsey grew up a major fan of Lee and Evanescence, explaining in a statement how the nu-rock outfit “created a window for me that allowed my feelings to seem important.”
“They were the place I ran to when I couldn’t stand the outside world. I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without them,” she said, adding, “Getting to create alongside her on ‘HAND THAT FEEDS’ is one of the most surreal moments of my life.”
As previously reported, Ballerina stars Ana de Armas as the titular assassin, and it hits theatres June 6th. Halsey and Lee’s “Hand That Feeds” is streaming now via Columbia Records/Sony Music.
