One of the most exciting new acts in heavy music right now, mysterious masked band PRESIDENT have announced their debut EP, King of Terrors, and heralded it with a new song, “RAGE.” The swirling, synth-laden cut showcases a different side of the group than previous singles, the more-guitar-driven “In the Name of the Father” and “Fearless.”
Lyrically, “RAGE” was inspired by Dylan Thomas’ epic poem “Do not go gentle into that good night.” As for the EP, it takes its menacing title from a Biblical reference and, according to a press release, addresses “themes of darkness, religion, and the ultimate maker to life — death.”
