Contemporary hardcore heavies Pain of Truth and Sunami served up a surprise split release called Coast to Coast super early this morning (March 3rd), and accordingly, the two bands have now additionally announced a co-headline tour that technically hits both coasts.
The trip kicks off in late April, with both bands making appearances at San Jose, California’s RBS Fest (though on different days). By May 2nd, Sunami and Pain of Truth zoom out East to start a leg of Eastern dates at Reading, Pennsylvania’s Reverb venue, and from there they’ll spend the next couple of weeks hitting headlining club shows and a couple of fests.
Along the way, the bands will be supported by Haywire and Peeling Flesh on select dates. You’ll find the full run of shows down below.
As for Coast to Coast, the four-song split between the New York-and-Bay Area bands hit streamers as a joint production from hardcore hubs DAZE and Triple B Records, and a pre-order for a vinyl version of the release is available here.
The split features new Pain of Truth tunes “Shattered Past” and “The Enemy,” while Sunami contributes “Doubt” and “Fence Walker.” Andy Nelson (Bricktop Recordings) recorded and mixed POT, while Charles Toshio (audio by tosh) handled the Sunami session. Coast to Coast was mastered-in-full by Bill Henderson at Azimuth.
