ORANGE 9MM’s first show in 25 years: See epic photos

Orange 9mm are back — and they are glistening. The post-hardcore/rap-metal heroes played their first show in 25 years(!) this past Friday (July 26th), rocking the Terminal 5 rooftop as part of the New York City Tattoo Arts Convention in the band’s hometown. Orange 9mm’s current lineup includes OG vocalist Chaka Malik and longtime guitarist Taylor McLam, plus new additions bassist Cory Bonfiglio and, on drums, Revolver Brand Partnership Director Chris Enriquez.

The group, who notably toured with Deftones back in the Nineties, opened their rowdy, sold-out performance with “Crowd Control” and closed with “Can’t Decide,” throwing in favorites like “High Speed Charger,” “Glistening” and “Fire in the Hole” in between. Orange 9mm also surprised fans with an appearance by WWE superstar MVP, who joined the band on vocals for “Sacrifice.” The pro-wrestler explained to the crowd that he used to listen to Orange 9mm when he was in prison and met Malik at a show after he got out.

Photographer Dimitri Mak was on hand to catch all the action — check out some of his standout shots below. Orange 9mm don’t have any more reunion shows currently on their schedule.
