The Return of Tomorrow will have to wait a few more days. That’s because longtime stoner rockers Fu Manchu have had to pull out of a handful of tour dates supporting their latest album, due to drummer Scott Reeder having recently fractured his elbow.
The drummer explained in over social media on Thursday (July 25th) that a five-show West Coast tour that would have taken them across California, Oregon and Washington State will need to be rescheduled, because Reeder hurt himself while riding his bike.
“As you can see, unfortunately, I’ve had a bicycle accident,” Reeder said, his arm visibly in a sling.
Reeder added that the healing time will prevent them from kicking off those headline dates August 16th at Los Angeles’ Troubadour club, but the band intend to reschedule all five shows ASAP and are asking fans to hang onto their tickets. He added of the temporarily-sidelining situation: “I want to, more than anything, be playing drums.”
That said, Reeder also noted that he should be healed, good and ready to do more drum rolls by September, when Fu Manchu are due to hit the road with Clutch and Rival Sons. You’ll find Fu Manchu’s updated tour itinerary down below.
