NINE INCH NAILS’ first show since 2022: See setlist and video

Nine Inch Nails are right back where they belong — by which we mean, onstage. The industrial titans kicked off their heavily anticipated “Peel It Back” tour over the weekend, marking the first performance from Trent Reznor and Co. since late 2022.

The tour launch took place last night (June 15th) at Dublin, Ireland’s 3Arena, where NIN delivered a 20-song, eras-spanning setlist of dark-mooded hits, revived deep cuts and more.

The show had the band bouncing between a pair of stages, with Reznor first appearing on a miniature stage in the middle of the crowd to perform “Right Where it Belongs” on piano, which was the song’s first live performance since 2009. The Downward Spiral’s “Ruiner” and “Piggy (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)” were likewise unearthed for the first time in 16 years.

Mainstage bangers included iconic electro-punk songs “Wish” and “March of the Pigs,” Downward classics “Mr. Self-Destruct” and “Reptile,” With Teeth’s “Hand That Feeds,” Pretty Hate Machine’s “Head Like a Hole” and more. They also worked in Reznor’s old “I’m Afraid of Americans” collaborative track with the late David Bowie.

A second, mid-show small stage performance had NIN working alongside electronic artist Boys Noize to deliver a techno remix of “Vessel,” a cover of Reznor and Atticus Ross’ How to Destroy Angels song “Parasite,” and “Came Back Haunted.”

You’ll find fan-shot footage from throughout the night up above and down below, where you’ll likewise find the setlist details (per setlist.fm).

The next show of NIN’s “Peel It Back” tour is tomorrow (June 17th) at Manchester, UK’s Co-op Live venue. The European leg of the tour continues until mid-July, and then the North American dates begin August 6th at Oakland, California’s Oakland Arena.
