Last year, Nine Inch Nails collaborators Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross promised a ton of forthcoming projects were on the way, including new music from NIN itself. Following some leaked concert dates earlier this week, their plans now apparently include a global tour schedule for 2025, though the industrial titans are holding onto the full reveal for the moment, in light of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Rumors of a NIN tour really ramped up online yesterday (January 13th), after a fan posted a screenshot onto the band’s reddit page to alert fellow followers to a Facebook post promoting a September 10th concert appearance at Tampa, Florida’s Amalie Arena. Intriguingly, this was also billed as being part of the “Peel It Back World Tour.”
Not too long after, various posts on socials began teasing August and September-timed tour stops around the U.S. and Canada , with unconfirmed reports adding that tickets could go up as soon as this Friday (August 17th).
Nine Inch Nails saw the chatter, and confirmed last night over socials that an official announcement is on the way, but likewise that it has been postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
They wrote: “Since some dates and information about our world tour have leaked we are confirming that yes we will be touring and will provide more details soon. We are all watching the devastation that is unfolding in California and have paused our announcement while people try to deal with all that is happening.”
As we wait for the tour announcement, it’s worth noting that next fall is shaping up to be super exciting for fans of all things Nine Inch Nails. As previously reported, Reznor and Ross revealed that NIN were attached to the upcoming sci-fi movie TRON: Ares. The third chapter in the TRON series is set to hit theatres next October.
