Architects have returned from the void to deliver another single from their forthcoming The Sky, The Earth & All Between album. This time, the UK metalcore veterans are previewing the collection with a destruction-heavy music video for new tune “Blackhole.”
The track vaults from hard-trilled metalcore riffage in the verse to inkily melodic hookplay in the chorus. Above all that, vocalist Sam Carter uses a series of shrieks, growls and cleans to detail lost souls being “carried through an unknown universe.”
As for the vid, it finds Architects jamming on a towering structure as the titular blackhole rips apart the world around them. The clip was filmed on location in California, with VFX added in post.
“So excited to have ‘Blackhole’ out, it’s one of my favorite songs from the album,” Carter shared in a statement. “The video is equally as intense as the song. We filmed the video at such a wild location and we really are at the top of those buildings that you see. This is Architects at our most ferocious.”
As previously reported, Architects’ 11th album was produced by former Bring Me the Horizon member Jordan Fish, and likewise marks the first full-length project from the band since longtime guitarist Josh Middleton exited the lineup in 2023.
The Sky, The Earth & All Between had first been teased with the raging “Whiplash” single. The album arrives February 28th via longtime label Epitaph.
