Mudvayne are all set to celebrate the monolithic sound of their debut album, L.D. 50, on an upcoming 25th anniversary tour. The nu-metal vets will be hitting stages this fall to brbr deng their way through the classic release, and they’ll also have “Evil Disco” drillers Static-X and rising nu-force Vended out on the road with them.
Info behind the aptly-named “L.D. 50 25th Anniversary Tour” was revealed by Mudvayne earlier today (May 6th). A tour teaser vid on Instagram presented a bunch of old live clips and a request to “take a trip back in time” with Mudvayne as they showcase their first full-length release. This was captioned with the table of elements/album cover-themed message: “Ku Rk Gu Sa – We are Mu Dv Ay Ne.”
While the album had dropped in August of 2000, the upcoming tour kicks off September 11th at Dubuque, Iowa’s Q Casino. The trek runs until October 26th, with that final date taking place at Uncasville, Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena.
It’s noted that Static-X will also be in silver anniversary mode, with the band set to play songs off 2000’s Wisconsin Death Trip. Vended, meanwhile, will be supporting their self-titled full-length from 2024.
