Metallica have revealed that their M72 World Tour will continue in 2026. The thrash icons’ current, on-going trek resumes next year with a round of European tour stops featuring support from the likes of Pantera, Gojira, Knocked Loose and Avatar.
‘Tallica teased the tour today (May 22nd), confirming that they’ve added 16 concerts to their ever-expanding tour schedule. As with their current 2025 run of M72 dates, this includes a mix of one-night-only appearances, as well as their super-stacked, “No Repeat Weekends” two-concert format. These will also continue to be staged using the group’s “Snake Pit”-style stage setup, which provides audiences with a 360° view of the band in action.
The first standalone show takes place May 9th at Athens, Greece’s Olympic Stadium, and it will find ‘Tallica joined by French metal force Gojira and Kentucky hardcore bruisers Knocked Loose.
Four upcoming 2026 No Repeaters — which will feature two entirely different sets from Metallica —will have those two acts on the first night of action, and then perennial “No Repeat” pals Pantera and Swedish vets Avatar take care of opening duties on night two. The last of those weekends takes place July 3rd and 5th at London, UK’s London Stadium.

As previously reported, Metallica began their latest leg of North American M72 dates last month, and they’re currently out with Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies, Ice Nine Kills and Limp Bizkit. The next two-night stand begins tomorrow (May 23rd) at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Lincoln Financial Field.
