Though Metallica are just about to resume their global run of M72 summer concert dates, the thrashers have announced they’re also going to be closing out 2024 with their latest “Helping Hands” benefit show in Los Angeles.
‘Tallica’s newly announced “Helping Hands Concert and Auction” takes place at L.A.’s YouTube Theater on December 13th, with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to All Within My Hands, the non-profit Metallica founded in 2017, which is “dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger and other critical local services.”
The full roster for the night has yet to be revealed for the fourth “Helping Hands” concert and auction, but the night will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel and headlined by Metallica. In years past, guest performers have included Greta Van Fleet, St. Vincent and Cage the Elephant.
Pre-sale tickets go up for Metallica Fan Club members this Wednesday (July 24th), while tickets are available to the broader public by Friday (July 26 th). You can find out more about the show and travel packages over here.
As for M72, Metallica resume their two-night “No Repeat Weekend” schedule August 2nd and 4th at Foxborough, Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium. You’ll find all of their 2024 tour dates here.
