Megadeth are heading to the Great White North early next year, with Dave Mustaine and Co. having just announced an upcoming Canadian tour that will have them traveling alongside fellow Big 4 thrashers Anthrax and Bay Area vets Exodus.
While the tour had been teased earlier in the month, a 12-show tour plan was officially detailed by the band this morning (November 25th). The Canadian leg of winter dates begins on Vancouver Island at Victoria, BC’s Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on February 15th.
After crossing over to the mainland, the bands head out East as far as the Maritimes, for a performance at Moncton, New Brunswick’s Avenir Centre on March 4th, and then boomerang back towards Québec City, Québec’s Videotron Centre for the tour closer on March 6th.
Pre-sales for all of Megadeth’s upcoming Canadian dates begin tomorrow (November 26th) at 10 a.m. local time, while general ticket sales go live the following day (November 27th).
As previously reported, Megadeth and Anthrax are also going to be joining up with Iron Maiden next summer for the latter’s “Run For Your Lives” headline tour. Megadeth’s forthcoming, self-titled farewell album is out January 23rd via BLKIIBLK. The most recent single was their scathing “I Don’t Care,” though Megadeth’s much-anticipated reinterpretation of Metallica’s “Ride the Lightning” is impending.
