After a nearly 10-year layover, and a COVID-related postponement, Mayhem Festival is finally coming back this fall — though things are going to look a little different. Despite existing as a summer tour in the past, Mayhem will be making its grand return as a one-day destination festival headlined by Bad Omens.
The return of the fest has been teased over socials for a little while, but the big news was finally made official today (June 4th), with the one-day event set to take place at San Bernadino, California’s Glen Helen Amphitheater on October 12th.
In addition to Bad Omens, the concert will feature top-of-the-bill performances from the likes of Parkway Drive, Architects, Jinjer, Poppy, Kittie and August Burns Red, the last of whom will be playing their Constellations LP in full.
The day also marks the live debut of System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian’s new band Seven Hours After Violet, along with performances by We Came as Romans, Suicide Silence, After the Burial, Hanabie, Throwdown, Born of Osiris, Mothica, Peyton Parrish, Darkest Hour, Unearth, Brutus, It Dies Today, Escuela Grind, Holy Wars and Roman Candle.

Mayhem Festival’s last summer-tour edition took place in 2015, and was headlined by Slayer and King Diamond. And while this year’s Mayhem is a one-day-only affair, organizers have promised it’ll get back on the road for 2025.
