Korn helped kick off this weekend’s Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio, with their signature grooves, with last night’s (May 8th) headlining appearance bringing out some of the nu-metal icons’ biggest songs for Midwest metalheads.
The band’s Sonic Temple appearance marked Korn’s first live performance in five months, and the massive, 19-song set pulled no punches. Whether the crowd were ready for it or not, Jonathan Davis and Co. quickly whipped the festival grounds into a frenzy by launching into “Blind,” the first time they’d put the famous cut in the top spot since 2019 per Setlist.fm.
The deepest cut of the night was See You on the Other Side’s “Twisted Transistor,” which they hadn’t performed since 2019. The rest of the show touched on all eras, delivering fan faves like “Falling Away From Me,” “A.D.I.D.A.S.,” “Freak on a Leash,” “Got the Life” and more. They also brought in more modern-day cuts like “Start the Healing” off 2022’s Requiem.
