Both alt-metal expressionist Kim Dracula and Harajuku-core eclectics HANABIE. are coming off a particularly strong and impressive 2024, but things are looking to get even more epic since the two camps have announced they’re teaming up for a co-headline tour in 2025.
The upcoming North American trip was announced today (December 17th), and confirms that Kim Dracula and HANABIE. will be starting the tour March 5th at Montreal, Quebec’s MTELUS. The trip will head to Toronto, Ontario before dipping down to the U.S., and will cap just over a month later with an April 12th tour-closer at Sacramento, California’s Ace of Spades.
In addition to the co-headliners, the dates will also feature Japanese metalcore faction Crystal Lake and Philly metal vets Kaonashi. Pre-sales for the shows went live today, while general ticket sales go live this Friday (December 20th).
As previously reported, Kim Dracula went on a headline tour of their own earlier in 2024 before linking up as an opener for a couple legs of In This Moment’s “GODMODE” tour cycle.
Most recently, they also appeared as “Luther” on Eisa Davis and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Warriors concept album, which was a musical reinterpretation of the cult classic Seventies film of the same name. You can read Revolver’s interview with Kim Dracula on the latter project here.
HANABIE. just released their Bucchigiri Tokyo EP at the beginning of December, but their big year also included a run of North American dates supporting Jinjer and a spot on this year’s Mayhem Festival.
