Heavy shoegaze legends Hum have announced their first shows since 2019, with a round of festival and club appearances due to take place in 2026.
The news arrived through Hum’s socials today (September 29th), with it being confirmed that the band will be performing a series of shows in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles next spring as part of the Slide Away festival. These will be their first performances since Hum was invited out to Dia De Los Deftones in 2019.
Notably, these will also be the band’s first concerts since the release of 2020’s staggering Inlet, as well as the 2021 death of drummer Bryan St. Pere. Hum confirmed that Shiner drummer Jason Gerken will be sitting in with them for the shows.
“We don’t have anything more planned, but are excited to fire up the machine once again with our brother in arms, Jason Gerken, behind the drums,” they wrote. “We hope you’ll come and join us at these shows. Thanks again for all your kindness and support over the years.”
The fest dates will also feature performances from Nothing and Chapterhouse on all dates, and feature Ovlov, Cloakroom, loveliescrushing and more on select dates.
Pre-sales for all dates are already live, while general ticket sales begin on Friday (October 3rd). You’ll find more info over here.
In related news, Gerken’s Shiner released their latest album, BELIEVEYOUME, last week.
