Coming off the recent announcement of Never Enough, Turnstile’s first album in four years, the much-beloved hardcore-and-more project have now unveiled a new double single that include guest spots from pop-punk royal and Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams and Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes.
Two new songs, “SEEIN’ STARS” and “BIRDS,” have been released as an extended music video. First up is “SEEIN’ STARS,” a tune that takes on a glossier and dancier tint than Turnstile’s more punk-edged numbers. The track is resplendent with echo-heavy, Eighties sophisti-pop guitar chording and propulsive conga-style percussion. While Brendan Yates’ familiar singing voice takes the lead, Williams adds some ethereal backups along with Hynes.
While the first half of the vid puts pool games, vinyl-spinning DJs and interpretive dancers on a shadowy soundstage, the “BIRDS” portion of the clip heads into a colorful field setting where Turnstile stage a hardcore performance for a bunch of fans.
“BIRDS” ramps up the intensity with old school hardcore riffage and a more manically-attacked vocal performance from Yates. Accordingly, the band and their flock of fans go nuts to the primal pace of “BIRDS.”

As previously reported, NEVER ENOUGH was recorded in Los Angeles, California and Baltimore, Maryland, and was produced by Yates. A tracklisting has yet to be offered up in full, but ther record is described as “a restless and exhilarating evolution of [Turnstile’s] genre-defying sound.”
NEVER ENOUGH also marks their first full-length release with rhythm guitarist Meg Mills.
The album sees release June 6th via Roadrunner Records and can be pre-ordered on vinyl, CD and cassette at Revolver’s shop.
