Veteran electronic-metal force the Browning have surged out another preview from their forthcoming full-length, OMNI. This time, they’ve teamed with Revolver to premiere the record’s title track, which plays out as a heavy duet between frontman Jonny McBee and his wife, the Defect vocalist Moon McBee.
Through a grotesque growl, Jonny establishes quickly that this is rallying cry for the “lost and abandoned,” and it comes complete with detuned guitar damage, nu-dustrial groove work, and a sinewave-splintering set of synth hooks. As the song works through a distorted, dance-heavy chorus, Moon adds a tunefully unifying “you’re not alone.”
“One thing I love most about Browning fans is they LOVE the diversity in our music,” the group’s vocalist said in a statement. “All the songs we’ve released so far off this album are super heavy and aggressive, but the melodic side of the Browning is always my favorite stuff to write. Plus having Moon from The Defect adds to the dynamics by featuring on this song just tops it off as a song I know our fans will love.”
“OMNI,” which you can check out via the cyberpunk-nostalgic music video up above, follows the band’s “Deceiver” single from earlier in the year. Both tracks will appear on the forthcoming, 10-track OMNI, which arrives November 8th via FiXT. While details have yet to drop in full, the record is said to include guest guitarwork from Canadian YouTube djenter Nik Nocturnal.
