Hear SLIPKNOT-approved upstarts SWOLLEN TEETH’s new single “Family”

Last year, Swollen Teeth — the masked wrecking crew backed by Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, trap-metal star Ghostemane and “Godfather of Nu-Metal” Ross Robinson — dropped their self-titled debut EP, which was produced by Wilson and Robinson. Today (September 18th), they’re back with a new song, “Family,” which boasts the same production team and chaotically brutal sound. According to Robinson, the song showcases “the incredible empathy these guys possess. Their main concern is to be a place of safety and home for the ones who are or just feel thrown away.”

The single arrived accompanied by a stark, striking music video cutting between live footage and more impressionistic clips. Watch and listen above.

“New flowers bloom only once the wilted return to soil,” Swollen Teeth said of the song in a joint statement. “This is our way of saying WELCOME to the world. FAMILY.”

Wilson, who has been a guiding force in the band’s aesthetic, added: “Swollen Teeth, horns-down movement. A safe space created to express and shed your feelings, and become a new, better version of yourself for your Family.”

Next up for Swollen Teeth, they play Slipknot’s Knotfest Iowa this weekend.
