Hear SILVERSTEIN’s dynamic new single “Negative Space”

Canadian post-hardcore crew Silverstein began the year by dropping Antibloom, the first half of a double album project. Now that we’re broaching the midway point of 2025, the veteran act have announced the details behind part two: Pink Moon. The album arrives September 12th, but they’re offering up first single “Negative Space” right now.

The track vaults between Silverstein’s metallic, pop and electronic tendencies, though it all coagulates quite nicely in the end. Notably, the many-chambered composition finds vocalist Shane Told’s sinewy croon imploring us to “meet [him] in the middle.”

“I think the coolest thing about ‘Negative Space’ is how off-balance it makes me feel,” guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau said in a statement. “It’s almost like it’s slightly too fast so it’s always trying to catch up to itself. That, combined with the fact that it’s always switching vibes and using contrasting tones makes for a really interesting three minutes.”

The video, which was “shot guerrilla-style across Las Vegas,” continues a narrative thread begun in the clip for Antibloom’s “Don’t Let Me Get Too Low,” and Told describes it as “the story of myself playing a madman burying himself in the Las Vegas desert.” You can see how that plays out up above.

The eight-song Pink Moon was recorded at the same time as Antibloom. The project is described as “a bold and diverse body of work that expands Silverstein’s dynamic range while staying true to their emotional core.” It also features a guest spot from Dayseeker’s Rory Rodriguez, as well as from Cassadee Pope.

The album is out September 12th via UNFD, and can be pre-ordered here.

Silverstein celebrated their 25th anniversary earlier this year on a North American tour with Thursday and Split Chain. The group have a handful of dates on club dates on horizon, as well as fest appearances at Sonic Temple, Welcome to Rockville and the Warped Tour.
