Rising Atlanta, Georgia rap-rockers Silly Goose have been making a name for themselves the past few years while performing a series of frenzied-but-fun-looking pop-up performances at gas stations and parking lots, as well as unsanctioned drop-ins outside of music festivals. Now, they’re translating some of that situational chaos into a braggy, Bizkit-styled banger called “Tsunami.”
The track marks the band’s first release through Blue Grape Music, and arrives ahead of a forthcoming, but yet-to-be-detailed EP.
A press release explains that vocalist Jackson Foster and drummer Alan Benikhis, in particular, “eat, sleep, and breathe the raw power of late-Nineties rap-rock and nu-metal,” and, yup, that tracks. “Tsunami” is nu-styled numbskullery at its finest, with three-dollar grooves and Durst-worthy raps about being “swaggarocious” flooding the senses the whole song through.

Down below, you can also check out a recent, raucous gas station performance of “Tsunami” that took place last weekend, just outside of Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival. As you can see, Silly Goose bounded through the song atop of a passenger van as a gaggle of converts pogoed psychotically between the pumps. This was part of Silly Goose’s series of surprise shows near the festival grounds over the weekend.
Silly Goose preceded “Tsunami” with 2024 singles “Live It Up” and “King of the Hill,” and also dropped “Rap Rock Jesus” in 2023. In 2022, they delivered their The Streets Heard It First full-length through their own Rap Rock Records.
