Over the years, Shinedown have shown a love for unveiling stripped-down takes of some of their biggest-sounding songs. Today (May 7th), the rockers have added to their scaled-back canon by dropping a piano-driven run-through of their recent “Three Six Five” single.
A press release notes that the new piano version of “Three Six Five” follows the original track’s ascension across several Billboard charts — which had reached #5 at Alternative, #13 at Hot AC, Top 30 at Active Rock, and Top 30 at Mainstream AC radio.
The eighty-eights-assisted redux still finds vocalist Brent Smith taking stock of the ways a calendar year can change our lives (“A lot can happen in a year,” he croons), but it’s all presented with an airier acoustic arrangement.

As previously reported, “Three Six Five” was released back in January alongside Shinedown’s foot-shuffling, Carpe Diem-invoking “Dance, Kid, Dance.”
The band launched their “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour in late April, and are mounting a series of North American arena dates between now and August. The shows feature support on select dates from the likes of Bush, Beartooth and Morgan Wade.
