Hear ROB ZOMBIE’s monstrous new song “Heathen Days”

It’s been a few years since Rob Zombie put out his last feature film — the 2022 adaptation of The Munsters — but thankfully he’s still making monster movies at home. More specifically, the industrial-metal vet and the rest of his band recently ventured into the bowels of his basement to produce a freaky performance vid for heavy new tune “Heathen Days.”

The song is Zombie’s second preview for next year’s The Great Satan album, following last month’s “Punks and Demons” single, and the song hurtles at you with fuel-injected fury, pedal-to-the-metal guitar slides, weird synth-phonics and Zombie’s incomparable vocal style, here letting out a “beautiful scream” for you. A press release adds that “Heathen Days” is mean to invoke “the ungodly days when chaos and war were constantly at your back.”

Zombie had teased the home-shot video earlier this week, announcing a fool-proof, four-point plan on how to make a stellar promo clip: Grab your Halloween mask, grab your old video camera, head down to the basement, blast a killer new tune. Indeed, you’ll find Zombie parading around a DIY silver-reflective dungeon setup in his wart-and-blood-topped monster mask via the player up above.

As previously reported, The Great Satan is due out February 26th via Nuclear Blast. Pre-orders for the album on “clear with black smoke’-tinted vinyl, available in a limited edition pressing of 1,000, are up for preorder in Revolver’s shop.
