Though Netflix anime Devil May Cry launch their second season tomorrow (May 8th), a moody new Papa Roach anthem from the official soundtrack has dropped early. A team-up with raper Hanumankind, the new track for the demon huntin’ property is called “See U In Hell.”
The track begins with a brooding, if guitar-sparkling intro wherein Papa frontman Jacoby Shaddix leans into eerie, melodically whispered character building (“I’m the truth you can’t hide/ I’m the reason you can’t look back in the mirror”). The rest of the Roach explode into a double-time, detuned and pop-punkin’ chorus, but slow things down again in the second as Hanumankind drops into a rap verse on survival.
A video, which you’ll find up above, incorporates plenty of animated explosions, demonic headshots, underground smackdowns and tense, blade-wielding showdowns. Whether you’re team Dante or team Vergil, you can get a sense for the hellacious next season of Devil May Cry via the player up above.
