Palaces are a heavy underground band from Atlanta, Georgia, whose gnarly sound splits the difference between post-hardcore and noise-rock. They just dropped a new album, Sunhunting, that was produced by one of their hometown’s favorite sons, Bill Kelliher of Mastodon, as well as a music video for standout cut “Toothchipper.”
The song brings to mind the Melvins, Helmet and early Mastodon, while the visual brings an edgy humor to the proceedings, framed as it is as a how-to guide for being a band. Watch and listen above.
