Long Island hardcore band Pain of Truth have announced a new headline tour while launching a live-style music video for “STRANDED,” the second single from their forthcoming self-titled LP.
As previously reported, the band are due to release their next album September 25th through DAZE. They’d previously delivered the “UNFORGIVEN” single, which was about seeking “hope in horrible times.”
“STRANDED” gets a little bleaker, a press release explaining that the song is about people being “divided and conquered,” with vocalist Michael Brian Smith shouting about the ruthless measures of folks trying to get ahead in the rat race (“Moving forward with my brothers blood on my teeth / Just to take another step”).
Filmed by Theo Sicurella, with extra footage from Danny Dog Pound, the video finds Pain of Truth attacking the hard-bounded track with gusto, while the crowd pits and pigpiles to the beat. You’ll find the clip up above.
The upcoming Pain of Truth is already up for pre-order on exclusive “Sea Blue Smoke”-colored vinyl, which is limited to 150 copies and bundled with a 24″x36″ poster insert. You’ll find that pressing and other variants of the album, plus other Pain of Truth releases, in Revolver’s shop.
Pain of Truth have a handful of Japanese dates coming up in September, which will be followed-up with a North American headline run in October. The latter dates find them supported on select dates by Madball, 100 Demons, Killing Time and more, and likewise include a series of fest appearances.
