Amira Elfeky‘s headline tour in support of her recent EP, Surrender, kicks off tonight in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and to herald the trek, the rising heavy-music star has offered up a gripping new single, “Hold Onto Me.”
The song was produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Fit for a King) and Robbie Gardunio, and it fuses crunchy riffery, skittering electronic beats and Elfeky’s yearning (and occasionally screamed) vocals into an infectious nu-goth anthem. “You’re falling fast/I’ll take control/Let every tear become a memory/Hold onto me,” she urges in the chorus. After her headline run, Elfeky will play the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky and also join Bring Me the Horizon on their USA Ascension Program Part 01 tour.
