Though Not Enough Space have learned how to weaponize their rage for their upcoming debut album, the Floridian deathcore experimentalists have a softer side to them, too. Case in point, the act have just unleashed a vulnerable, pop-forward anthem from the LP titled “Don’t Let Go.”
A press release explains that the new song centers on love, weathering tough life situations and the “desperate beauty of holding on when everything else falls apart.” While not entirely absent of the extreme screams that fueled earlier tracks like “Devil Left Me on Read,” “Don’t Let Go” finds co-vocalists Liv Mitchell and Lizzie Raatma lacing the verses and choruses with earnest and yearning melodicism.
“‘Don’t Let Go’ captures the experience of facing struggles and hardships together with your partner,” the band explained in a joint statement. “It highlights the importance of holding on through difficult times and not losing sight of each other. Blending soft, somber moments with bursts of energy and intensity, the song reflects the emotional depth of embracing both the highs and lows of love.”
The group are also tapping into those emotional depths while literally wading chest-deep in an oceanic scene. You’ll find the video up above.
As previously reported, Not Enough Space’s much-anticipated Weaponize Your Rage sees release September 12th through Thriller Records. The album, which is themed around “resilience, identity, and what it means to fight for your place in a world that’s trying to destroy you,” also features previously released tracks “New Age Cannibal,” “Waiting 4 U,” “Devil Left Me on Read,” “Primitive” and “Solace in Silence.”
