Hear NINE INCH NAIL’s stunning new album with BOYS NOIZE ‘Nine Inch Noize’

Following Nine Inch Nails and German producer Boys Noize’s weekend-stealing performance as Nine Inch Noize at Coachella, the collective have now officially delivered their first album-length collaboration.

As previously reported, Trent Reznor’s longtime industrial project and Boys Noize (a.k.a. German electronic-music artist Alex Ridha) had been on the road together off and on over the past year as part of the “Peel It Back Tour”, which had included nightly satellite-stage collaborative performances between the artists. They then upped the stakes last Saturday (April 11th) for the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Arts & Music Festival, which likewise brought How to Destroy Angels vocalist (and Reznor’s wife) Mariqueen Maandig to the stage.

The newly-delivered, 12-track NINoize album in fact rolls out just like last week’s setlist, putting familiar but further electronics-twisted takes on Nine Inch Nails songs old and new — like The Downward Spiral‘s Heresy up to last year’s TRON:Ares single “As Alive as You Need Me to Be.” There’s likewise a revamped take on How to Destroy Angels’ “Parasite” and a cover of synth-pop group Soft Cell’s “Memorabilia.”

You can sample the fresh noize via the player up above.

Likewise, the collective will make an encore Coachella appearance this Saturday (April 18th) for the fest’s second weekend, which is streaming on YouTube.
