Coming off his recent round of comeback tour dates and a pair of singles, Marilyn Manson has now revealed a glammy new track called “Sacrilegious,” which will likewise appear on his just-confirmed forthcoming album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1.
The latest cut follows summer singles “As Sick as the Secrets Within” and “Raise the Red Flag.” This time around, Manson’s leaning into a gothic glam beat and distortion-pressed guitar melodies, with his brooding and bassy lead vocal complemented by some “The Beautiful People”-styled whispering.
Lyrically, the Antichrist Superstar offers a few martyr-like musings (“You should have treated your saviors better”), while potentially meta-referentially addressing his comeback via lines about a “resurrection” in the face of canceled “subscriptions.” Perhaps even more pointed, the chorus notes he’s “coming back, baby.”

Manson’s three 2024 singles are now set to appear on the upcoming One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 album, which is due November 22nd via new label home Nuclear Blast. The album, which is up for pre-order here, will be Manson’s first since 2020’s We Are Chaos.
The musician also recently wrapped a series of live dates with his current backing band, which includes Code Orange guitarist Reba Meyers, as well as former Rob Zombie bassist Piggy D, drummer Gil Sharone, and guitarist Tyler Bates, who also produced the new album.
Manson’s comeback follows accusations of sexual abuse from numerous women, allegations that he has publicly denied. The singer has nevertheless been embroiled in numerous court battles over the claims, with many of those cases having been since settled or dismissed.
