Deathcore titans Lorna Shore have come back swinging with a second preview of their forthcoming I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me, this time amping up the anthemic side of their sound with a triumphant, but heavy new cut called “Unbreakable.”
The song follows last month’s “Oblivion,” and comes across decidedly less bleak than that first offering. For instance, instead of a dystopian, vomitous music video, “Unbreakable” arrives as a live-style clip where Lorna Shore are serving up a mix of high-flying guitar melodies and grotesque gutturals for a legion of horns-raising fans.
Vocalist Will Ramos uses some uplifting imagery about quaking up through the earth’s core with “unbreakable rage,” and hitting every challenge head-on. He further described “Unbreakable” as an “all-inclusive song written to bring people together for a beautiful moment where they can realize that no matter what this world throws at us- it will never break us down.”
“We wanted to write a song that would sound and feel absolutely huge,” he added in a statement. “I wanted something that made people feel good when listening or singing it; essentially a song that you can hear on your worst day, and somehow feel like that day was a breeze.”
