Hear KORN’s first new song in 4 years “Reward the Scars”

Korn are back.

Seemingly out of nowhere, beloved nu-groovers Korn just dropped a new song — their first since 2022 — called “Reward the Scars,” which arrives as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred expansion pack.

Korn hit their socials earlier today (April 23rd) to note that their new song was directly inspired by Diablo. It all begins with militaristic drum rolls and meaty guitar noise before bounding into a classically spiky Korn groove. Jonathan Davis lurks into the verses with tremolo-heavy mewling before hitting what seems like a gamer-styled command (“Help me free the ones I saved / I can’t walk the path that’s laid”).

Reward yourself and enjoy the quest by giving Korn’s Diablo track a stream up above.

The Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred expansion pack is expected to drop in full for various gaming platforms on April 28th. You’ll find more game info here.

Korn’s last album was 2022’s Requiem. The band have been working on a follow-up in some fashion for years, but they record is reportedly still in the works.

The band do, however, headline this weekend’s Sick New World event in Las Vegas, Nevada, posing the question: will Korn premiere “Reward the Scars” on stage in Sin City? Only time will tell.
