sace6 have delivered a dreamily hypnotizing fourth preview behind their forthcoming brutalist LP, and they got pop artist jxdn to help them do it. Together, they’re navigating their “reverie.”
The collab hit streamers today (April 23rd), and leans a touch more into sace6’s codeine-glazed R&B aesthetic, yet guitarist Noah Thomas does in fact get noisy and experimental with his string work in the mid-song breakdown.
sace delivers dove-soft musings about being left alone in their lovelorn thoughts (“Don’t you leave me daydreaming”) while jxdn supports the song with some coos of his own. The song is explained by the band to be “conveying the emotions of a love lost with wishes for rekindling, as well as carrying an undertone of a tension that fractures.”
“This was the first song or even idea we had started for brutalist,” sace6 added in their joint statement. “The song took a shape of its own and had a huge role in creating the sound for the album.”
