Just ahead of Jinjer’s fall North American tour, the Ukrainian metal juggernauts have unveiled a punishing new single that’s set to be released on their next LP. This time, they’ve gone “Rogue,” and it’s crazy heavy.
The new track follows last month’s “Someone’s Daughter” single, but unlike that melody-spiked warrior’s anthem, “Rogue” is a progressively brutalizing outing for Jinjer, replete with noise-chord-driven pivots a plenty and a harrowing round of growls from vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk, here weighing in on ambition, the mounting “circles of dead,” and the fact that the “war-drum always rattles.”
“Our new single ‘Rogue’ is a reaction to many things,” the group noted in a joing statement. “It’s brutally honest, it’s in-your-face and one of the most intense tracks Jinjer has ever released. We are so excited about this new track, about the new album and everything that’s on the way…”
While plans have yet to be offered up in full, it’s noted that Jinjer’s fifth album, which will follow up 2021’s Wallflowers, is due to be released in the winter of 2025 via Napalm Records.
Of course, ahead of that Jinjer are kicking off their North American headline tour, which features openers HANABIE. and Born of Osiris. The tour begins September 20th at Sayreville, New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom, and wraps up on the west coast for their October 13 th appearance at Sacramento, California’s Aftershock Festival.
