Longtime pals and tourmates In This Moment and Kim Dracula have themselves a new “Heretic” anthem.
Today (July 16th) the two heavy factions unleashed the collaborative single “Heretic,” which a press release confirms is the first preview from In This Moment’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled ninth album.
The track plays out through dark, bruised-plum explosiveness, bringing together dirt-dingy synth tones, eerily ascending industrial metal pivots and an array of viciously whispered and screamed sections from Maria Brink (“I am not your pain or your remedy/I am not your faith or your vanity”). Dracula drops by to spit-and-scream their sections like a tongue-twisting demon.
“We are so excited to unveil our new song ‘Heretic,’ featuring the incomparable Kim Dracula,” In This Moment wrote in a group statement. “From the first time we heard that incredible voice, we knew we wanted to collaborate. We cannot wait for the world to hear what happens when we join forces on a song like ‘Heretic.’”

In This Moment’s “Hell Hath No Fury Tour” kicks off tonight at Green Bay, Wisconsin’s Epic Events Center. The month-long summer tour find the band joined by supporting acts Wargasm, Kat Von D and Vegas duo the Pretty Wild.
Later this fall, In This Moment launch their “Black Mass Tour,” a 23-gig stretch that begins September 18th at the 1st Summit Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. That run finds the band supported on select dates by Dayseeker, the Funeral Portrait and DED.
