In May, I Prevail unleashed their “VIOLENT NATURE,” the band’s first new music since the surprise departure of longtime clean vocalist Brian Burkheiser. That single leans into the group’s most battering, mosh-pit-ready inclinations, but their latest song, “Into Hell” — which I Prevail premiered today (June 20th) — showcases the more melodic and anthemic side of their sound, revealing I Prevail to still be the well-rounded rock-and-metal machine they were before the lineup change.
In particular, screamer Eric Vanlerberghe displays a singing range that many fans didn’t realize he had in him. As one commenter enthused on YouTube: “WTF Eric on clean vocals? Eric’s voice is magnificent, both screamed and clear!”
“Into Hell,” which arrived accompanied by a striking music video directed George Gallardo Kattah, comes on the eve of I Prevail’s co-headlining tour with Beartooth, dubbed the “Summer of Loud.” The trek also features Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, the Devil Wears Prada, the Amity Affliction and Alpha Wolf, with TX2, Kingdom of Giants and Dark Divine opening on select dates.
