Hatebreed’s kill count continues. Following the announcement of the Connecticut-made hardcore veterans’ upcoming Fatal Paradox album earlier in the summer, the group have now unearthed the record’s devastating title cut.
The new tune follows recent singles “Kill Count Increase” and “Make the Demons Obey,” and it powers into open-chord-oppressive hardcore riffs, battering rhythms and a back section of caveman-chugged slow grooves.
Through all that, vocalist Jamey Jasta loudly hints at never-ending conflict, ruling class abuses of power, divisionary politics and how things only seem to be getting worse for humanity (“The price of life is cheaper than ever”).
Heavy topics, all, and you can hear how Hatebreed handle the weight via the lyric video up above.
As previously reported, the upcoming Fatal Paradox had Hatebreed working with producer and longtime collaborator Zeuss, and it features a guest vocal spot from none other than Obituary vocalist John Tardy on its “Sacrifice Season.”
