Last summer, former Fear Factory singer Burton C. Bell released his first music since splitting acrimoniously with the influential industrial-metal band: a crushing cover of Rammstein‘s “Du Hast.” Then in March, Bell offered up his debut original solo song, the synth-heavy, sci-fi death-march “Anti-Droid,” and in June, he played his first-ever solo show. Now, he’s back with another solo original, the new wave-inflected “Technical Exorcism.”
The single arrived accompanied by a performance video filmed at 1720 in L.A. during Bell’s debut solo show. The gig saw the vocalist backed by guitarist Henrik Linde (the Vitals, Dren), bassist Tony Baumeister (ÆGES), drummer Ryan Junior Kittlitz (All Hail the Yeti, the Acid Helps) and multi-instrumentalist Stewart Cararas.
