Hear ELECTRIC CALLBOY’s acoustic cover of LINKIN PARK’s “Crawling”

German outfit Electric Callboy toned down both the electronic and metalcore sides of their electronicore sound over the weekend by uploading a gentle cover of Linkin Park classic “Crawling” to YouTube.

The act’s rendition of the Hybrid Theory hit marked the first instalment of Electric Callboy’s newly-launched acoustic cover sessions series. They spun through a wheel of song options and ultimately landed on “Crawling.”

The Callboys take a super low-ley approach to Linkin Park, pairing morning glow six-string strums and light-and-airy piano melodies with Nico Sallach’s hushed tenor vocals. The latter shows us quite a bit of self-control, avoiding a huge, Chester Bennington-style chorus to instead home in on a pleasant, ballad-esque vibrato.

The YouTube video, which you can see up above, has already logged 200,000 views since being uploaded at the top of the weekend. The surge in YT channel traffic has blown away Electric Callboy.

“We put a lot of heart into this one, and seeing all your amazing comments and support means the world to us,” they wrote over socials. “Thank you for listening & sharing. You guys are the best!”

In addition to their now ongoing cover sessions series, the band have a handful of European festival dates set up throughout the spring and summer. You can see the details on those dates over here.
