Hot off the heels of Chevelle’s tour announcement with Asking Alexandria, the Illinois-made alt-metal act have now unveiled a new single that they may well debut onstage this summer. The band’s first song in four years is called “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1).”
The comeback cut follows Chevelle’s 2021 full-length NIRATIAS. It’s currently unclear if the song is part of the band’s forthcoming 10th studio album or whether it’s a standalone single, but the cut nevertheless quakes through heavily anthemic melodies, octavizer-employing guitar pull-offs and a round of reedy cries from vocalist-guitarist Pete Loeffler on fighting off “cowards” and taking yourself to the next level (“a change has begun”).
“How about we all put on our tinfoil hats, slam a Dunkies and go deep doomscrolling,” the group quipped in a joint statement of the single. “If that sounds like your sorta thing, we’ve got a new song for you called ‘Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)’. Enjoy!”

As previously reported, Chevelle have a handful of spring festival appearances lined up, as well as a late summer/early fall tour alongside Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society. Pre-sales have already begun for Chevelle’s headlining dates, though general ticket sales appear by Friday (March 28th).
