Coming off the sublime strength of Chelsea Wolfe’s recent She Reaches Out to She Reaches Out to She — one of Revolver’s favorites records of the year so far — the gothic experimentalist has unveiled plans to follow it up with a new remix EP, UNDONE. Ahead of its release later this summer, Wolfe has gifted us ††† (Crosses)’s remix version of She Reaches…’ “Tunnel Lights,” which now features guest vocals from Chino Moreno.
A press release confirms that the UNDONE single reimagines the original “Tunnel Lights,” which Revolver had previously described as a “dramatic, clattering trip-hop tune,” as a breathy duet between Wolfe and Moreno, the latter subtly adding background harmonies. ††† (Crosses) member Shaun Lopez likewise bumps up the BPMs significantly, bringing industrial-twitchy beatwork into the piece.

As for the rest of UNDONE, the EP likewise includes a previously released reimagining of She Reaches…‘ “House of Self Undoing” from electronic duo Boy Harsher, as well as unreleased remixes from the likes of Full of Hell, Godflesh’s Justin K.
