BABYMETAL have unveiled another bat-shit bonkers team-up from their forthcoming collab-heavy Metal Forth album. Following April’s monstrous “from me to u” with Poppy, BABYMETAL are now unleashing the beast alongside Slaughter to Prevail for their latest single, “Song 3.”
The new cut, which is indeed slotted in the third position of BABYMETAL’s next LP, was initially teased with footage of BABYMETAL and Slaughter to Prevail going toe-to-toe in a growl-off.
Accordingly, “Song 3” now finds the bands officially integrating to deliver a series of grotesque lows — all complemented by enormous deathcore riffage, pop-heavy chorus hooks and BABYMETAL’s signature cross-pollinating musical eclecticism.
As for the video, “Song 3” tells the tale of lil Alex Terrible being bullied in his youth, but ultimately becoming a monstrous force of nature. He gets a little help along the way via the members of BABYMETAL. Without spoiling too much, you can see how that all plays out up above.
As previously reported, BABYMETAL’s Metal Forth also features the group’s previously-released “RATATATA” single with Electric Callboy, and likewise includes collaborative cuts with Spiritbox, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Bloodywood and more.
