Hear AUGUST BURNS RED’s new version of “Your Little Suburbia Is in Ruins” with JAKE LUHRS on vocals

To celebrate two decades of their classic debut, Thrill Seeker, August Burns Red are dropping a new, re-recorded version recreated from scratch by producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. The biggest twist? Longtime frontman Jake Luhrs, who joined ABR after the album’s original release, handles the vocals.

“When I joined the band in early 2006, I always said I wanted to do vocals on a studio recording of Thrill Seeker,” Luhrs commented. “I did the majority of the touring on that album, and it always felt like my own. As the 20th anniversary approached, we decided to finally give Thrill Seeker a facelift. Re-working these songs was such a rewarding experience. This album completely changed the course of my life, and I can’t wait for fans to hear this new version.”

Adding to the celebration, the anniversary edition features a series of meaningful guest spots, including Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz (who produced the original) on “Speech Impediment,” and the return of original Thrill Seeker singer Josh McManness on “Barbarian.”

ABR are giving fans a taste with a brand-new lyric video for “Your Little Suburbia Is in Ruins” with Luhrs on vocals. Watch and listen above.

The revamped version of Thrill Seeker — which also includes a re-recording of the rare bonus track “Pride & Humility” — will come in three vinyl variants, alongside exclusive merch. Set for a January 24th release via the band’s own ABR Records, the 20th-anniversary edition is available for pre-order here.
