Though we’ve yet to be formally introduced to all of Architects‘ forthcoming The Sky, The Earth & All Between, the UK metalcore veterans have broken off another piece of the album, in the form of a more melody-twisted track titled “Everything Ends.”
The single is the third to arrive from The Sky, The Earth & All Between since it was announced last November. While earlier teases “Whiplash” and “Blackhole” were hard-bashed, metallic pieces that put the focus on fierce riffage and hellfire screaming from vocalist Sam Carter, “Everything Ends” takes on a more melancholic, yet anthemic approach.
As you’ll hear up above, the song is full of dance-metal hi-hat pacing, thick-and-chunky nu-era guitar melodies, and a raspy, but impassioned bit of crooning from Carter, who sings of trying to escape a veritable island of emotional pain (“If I swim they’ll only drag me down / I’m tired of the violence”).
As previously reported, The Sky, The Earth & All Between is out February 28th via longtime label Epitaph. The band had initially explained that their 11th full-length begins a “new era for Architects,” with the release marking their first since longtime guitarist Josh Middleton exited the project in 2023.
