All told, it seems like Ghost are riding high at the moment, with the occult-rock outfit’s new SKELETÁ debuting at the top of the Billboard charts and the band staging a series of must-see concerts on their current world tour. Yet former frontman Papa Emeritus IV (now known as Frater Imperator) doesn’t see it that way, with the latest Chapter of Ghost’s ongoing webisode series revealing that he’s still plenty pissed about his recent demotion in the clergy.
The new, comedic instalment first finds Imperator lounging back and watching Eighties sci-fi classic V — some real Freudian binge-watching — before getting a video call from Mr. Psaltarian. The other clergy member discusses the good fortunes of Ghost at the moment, praising new vocalist Papa V Perpetua’s performances.
Stewing in his anxieties, Imperator snarkily suggests Ghost’s latest singer is “not good” and that he’s been stealing all of the former Papa’s stage moves, but Psalty follows this up stating: “Every Papa before you said the same damn thing…must be part of your DNA, huh?”
They go on to discuss a possible face-to-face meeting between the two frontmen, but we might not see that happen for a while — after all, Perpetua is on tour all year long with Ghost. Rubbing salt in the wound, Psaltarian adds that the trip is bigger than anything Imperator ever took on. Taken aback, Imperator insists he has a lot of “shit” going on with his new office job in the Ministry, too.

As previously reported, Ghost began their “Skeletour” last month in Manchester, UK. The tour picks up tonight (May 14th) at Oberhausen, Germany’s Rudolph Weber Arena. A U.S. leg launches later this summer.
